Mary McNally Awarded NSHRF Collaborative Health Research Project Grant

Congratulations to Mary McNally, the Principal Investigator on a newly funded program of the Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation (NSHRF) Collaborative Health Research Project Competition. The grant is $92,728.

The NSHRF grant is entitled "Oral care in continuing care settings: collaborating to improve policies and practices". The interdisciplinary team involves scholars from Dalhousie University, McGill University and the University of British Columbia, with community collaboration from the Capital District Health Authority Eastern Shore Tri-Facilities.  The purpose of this project is to examine the integration of oral health care for frail and dependent older adults into a variety of continuing care settings.  The research outcomes will have implications for continuing care settings throughout Nova Scotia and beyond.
