Research Grants Awarded
Congratulations are extending to Drs. Richard Price, Ed Ghiabi, Mark Filiaggi and our newest faculty member, Daniel Boyd.
Dr. R. Price was notified that his Early Stage Commercialization Fund (ESCF) submission entitled Advancing a Novel Training and Research Tool in Response to Market Feedback has been funded in the amount of $50,000. This funding award through Innovacorp is meant to assist the academic community in the pursuit of commercialization opportunities.
Dr. Ghiabi is the recipient of a
Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation capacity grant ($15000).
Drs. Filiaggi and
Boyd have each been awarded an NSERC Discovery Grant ($20000).
In these times a stiff competition in provincial and national funding, these are exciting announcements for the Faculty of Dentistry and our colleagues.
