Mary McNally, the Poet Laureate

This summer Mary McNally (DDS'92) created a poem for the Peter Gzowski Invitational (PGI) Golf Tournament for Literacy. Some twenty-five years ago, PGI golf tournaments were started by the late CBC Morningside Host, Peter Gzowski, to raise money and awareness for literacy.  The PGI continues to be held yearly in Peter's memory.  A tradition initiated by Peter was that every PGI must include a poet laureate whose job it is to compose a poem chronicling the two day event. Mary's rap poem recounts the PGI celebration held in New Brunswick in August, 2010. . She was subsequently asked to audio record the poem and her 'Rappers Delight" is now available for our listening pleasure on YouTube.

Congratulations on your new found fame as a rap artist!
