Deans Cleghorn, Boran, Lovas & Filiaggi share their delicious creations with faculty, staff and students. Dr. Thomas Boran's Chili, Dr. Blaine Cleghorn's Chicken Basque, Dr. Mark Filiaggi's Moroccan Curry and Dr. John Lovas' Chili and Dr. Ron Bannerman's Baguettes were all snapped up within minutes, with more than $400 in proceeds going to the Canadian Red Cross. "We're so lucky to be in this program and this profession, and we wanted to find a way to give back," explained third-year student Tesia Rolle, when asked why her class decided to coordinate the luncheon again this year. "Dr. Lovas came up with the idea last year to get the Deans cooking, and they were all totally on board. They definitely came through in a big way again this year!" So, which dish did Tesia like the best? "I had them all together on one plate, so the flavours all mixed together and it wouldn't be fair to say," she said, with a smile. "They were all really good!"
On Friday, April 8th, faculty, staff and students gathered in the main floor lobby of the Dentistry Building for the second annual Celebrity Chef Student Charity Lunch - a delicious assortment of culinary delights cooked and served by the Dentistry "Dean Team."
