Congratulations to our 2011 Summer Research Students!

Eight Dalhousie Dentistry and Dental Hygiene students presented their summer research at the annual Interprofessional Health Research Day (formerly known as Health Trainee Research Day) on November 16, 2011.

Coralie Ayer, Samantha Brenton, Benjamin Lamarche, Jacqueline Levangie, Katherine Logan, Sarah Orser and Michelle Ravlo gave poster presentations and Danny Pond gave a platform presentation.

Kudos to all on a job well done and congratulations to Samantha Brenton who was awarded first place in her category for her poster Effects of xerostomic medications on the oral health of older Nova Scotians.

Interprofessional Health Research Day is organized by the Integrated Health Trainee Partnership (IHRTP) and is an opportunity to showcase the research being conducted by students in the Faculties of Dentistry, Health Professions and Medicine.

Positions for the 2012 Faculty of Dentistry Summer Research Program will be announced in March 2012.
