Terry Mitchell Recipient of the
Dental Hygiene Educators of Canada Teaching Award 2007

 

Terry Mitchell was the recipient of the Dental Hygiene Educators of Canada teaching award at their annual meeting in Toronto in July 2007.  Terry also presented a poster at the International Federation of Dental Hygiene Symposium held at the same time.

The Dental Hygiene Educators Canada Teaching Award is The Dental Hygiene Educators Canada/ Éducateurs en Hygiène dentaire du Canada Award for Teaching Excellence in Dental Hygiene Education. It is awarded to a recipient who demonstrates  through their teaching a commitment to the goals of DHEC.
These goals are to:

  • foster excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Promote evidence-based dental hygiene education.
  • Facilitate the exchange of information and expertise to develop dental hygiene education in Canada.
  • Promote inter-professional alliances with national and international education and health organizations

To be eligible for this award, two students must write supporting letters for this award and the nominee must submit a teaching dossier.
