Oral Surgery Gets Makeover

Over the Christmas Clinic break at the Faculty the seven oral surgery operatory suites are being painted and refurbished after twenty seven years. The original Ritter dental chairs are from the old dental school are are more than 35 years old.

The new dental chairs and lights are supplied by A-dec corporation after they won the tender. The equipment was funded by alumni contributions to the Faculty.

Three of four clinic areas on level one of the Faculty of Dentistry have now been completely refurbished in the last few years. Plans are in process to continue with refits of other clinic areas.

The Oral Surgery instructors and staff have been requesting upgrades for over five years; so, it is exciting to see this clinic area finally receive the improvements that were necessary.
