About the Kellogg Library

Located on the main floor of the Tupper Medical Building on College St., the Kellogg Library serves the students, faculty and staff at Dalhousie University, as well as health practitioners in the Maritime Provinces. The Library's collections (Novanet) support, in particular, the following programs: Dentistry, Dental Hygiene, Health Education, Health Services Administration, Human Communication Disorders, Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy.

Paper collections are shrinking; the library's collections are becoming increasingly electronic and available 24/7. These collections are developed to support and supplement Faculty research, curriculum needs and the student laptop/VitalSource initiative.


REFERENCE SERVICES
An Information Desk is staffed to help with information queries and to teach and assist in the use of library search tools, including:

  • Novanet, the comprehensive source of all print and electronic material held by Dalhousie University Libraries
  • Document Delivery will obtain materials from books and journals NOT held at Dalhousie University
  • Libguides. is the jumping-off point for library resources, providing quick, easy, one-stop access to a variety of resources such as databases , electronic journals, electronic books.
  • Citation management software packages (Endnote, Refworks, etc.)

OFF CAMPUS ACCESS
