The Dr. J.D.McLean Continuing Education Centre at the Faculty has conference facilities for up to 30 participants and 10 state-of-the-art dental cubicles available for dental study clubs and hands-on continuing education courses. Opened in 1998 this is a one million dollar facility supported by Alumni of the Faculty and local and national dental supply companies.
Located on level one of the Faculty of Dentistry building the Centre is ideally set-up with dental assistant and reception staff support, waiting area for patients, washrooms and food service area to support such activities. Regular study clubs can also arrange for local storage to keep items being used on a regular basis. The Centre includes one dental cubicle set-up with a Moller Denta operating scope and color TV system to broadcast live dental procedures to course participants in the 3M Conference room. Two way audio in this system permits participants to hear the presenter and to ask questions of the presenter.

The Centre has supported a Tucker Gold Study Club (since May 2000) and the East Coast Endo study club (since 2003). Plans are in the making for an implant mentoring study club. Some comments from our study club users are:
