An opportunity for you to help prepare today's dental students for tomorrow's dental profession.
Currently we provide an outstanding dental education for our students, and we must continue to do so despite uncertain and shrinking support from traditional sources, such as government funding.
Current students must pay for a greater proportion of the cost of their education than students previously had to cover. This funding equation cannot continue or the quality of education might be compromised, as students will not be able to cover ever-increasing tuition costs.
That is why we turn to our alumni and friends of the Faculty of Dentistry to ask for help to meet the challenge of educating dentists, dental hygienists, qualifying program students and graduate students for the rapidly changing dental profession.
Annual Fund gifts from alumni and friends play a vital role in maintaining the Faculty of Dentistry's mission, programs, and standard of excellence. The Annual Fund is one of the most significant revenue sources for the Faculty. Gifts are used in the year received and each gift immediately impacts the quality of education. Donors can determine the area they are most interested in supporting and designate their gifts appropriately. For example, you can fund: clinic equipment, research projects, student scholarships, continuing education initiatives, or library holdings. As well, you may leave the gift to be designated to the area of greatest need as determined by Dean Tom Boran and the Alumni Relations Committee.
