The Dalhousie Dental Clinics are a large, comprehensive, state of the art general and specialty dental care facility. Almost 100 full and part time dentists and dental hygienists support 160 dental students and 84 dental hygiene students who provide care for 8-10,000 patients a year. We care about your oral health. We welcome patients who are prepared to work with our students as part of their education.
The Dental Clinic at the Faculty of Dentistry offers a wide range of dental services to the general public including Dalhousie students, faculty members and staff. Some of these services include fillings, crowns, extractions, root canals, gum treatments, full and partial dentures and braces. These services are provided by dental students and/or dental hygiene students. All treatment is supervised and approved by qualified dentists, specialists, and dental hygienists.
The Dental Clinic is an educational facility. Patients who are accepted for treatment provide practical clinical experiences for the students and, at the same time, receive quality care at reduced fees. Our hours of operation are 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday to Friday.
Dalhousie University is a smoke-free and a scent-free environment. Please do not wear colognes, perfumes, etc. when you come for your appointment.
All children must be attended by an adult. For reasons of safety, children who are not patients cannot accompany adults into the treatment area.
