Graduates of the Doctor in Dental Surgery degree program are recognized for their strong clinical skills, built throughout the comprehensive four-year program, which provides intensive early clinical experiences and strong application of medical sciences. The program is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Accreditation of Canada and graduates are eligible for licensure in both Canada and the United States. Many graduates of the D.D.S. program explore post-graduate specialty programs in dentistry or related fields in North America and international universities; and Dalhousie graduates are readily accepted to residency and internship programs.
