Graduate Program in Periodontics

A three-year Masters in Periodontics, this program is designed to train clinicians for the specialty practice of periodontics, using an evidence-based approach.

Program emphases:

• Variety of clinical experiences
• Thoroughness of patient evaluation
• Accuracy in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Evidenced-based approach to treatment
• Participation in a research project

You will be trained to the level of proficiency in management of patients in need of:

• Treatment for a variety of periodontal diseases and mucogingival defects,
• Treatment for Temporomanddiular Joint Disorders (TMDs),
• Dental implant therapy and conscious sedation. 

As graduates, you will be eligible to take

• Fellowship exams for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Periodontics
• American Board of Periodontology Exams.
