Graduate Program in Periodontics

A three-year Masters in Periodontics, this program is designed to train clinicians for the specialty practice of periodontics, using an evidence-based approach.
Program emphases:
- Variety of clinical experiences
- Thoroughness of patient evaluation
- Accuracy in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Evidenced-based approach to treatment
- Participation in a research project
You will be trained to the level of proficiency in management of patients in need of:
- Treatment for a variety of periodontal diseases and mucogingival defects,
- Treatment for Temporomanddiular Joint Disorders (TMDs),
- Dental implant therapy and conscious sedation.
As graduates, you will be eligible to take
- Fellowship exams for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Periodontics
- American Board of Periodontology Exams.
